On the "extra day" Saturday 29. July all participants and supporters will have the opportunity to visit some nearby, beautiful spots of Switzerland. We have planned three excursions. Choose one and register before June 15th 2000. If you are a member of an official team and you don't wish to go on tour 1, please let us know as well.

Tour 1: Open-Air Museum Ballenberg & InterlakenThe Swiss Open-Air Museum for rural
culture near the village of Brienz in the Bernese Oberland shows
different types of Swiss houses, old crafts and animal breeds. This is the default tour for all participating teams and is included in the registration fee. For everybody else the price of SFr 30.- per person includes all bus transfers, admission to the museum and a lunch-package. Tour 2: Open-Air Museum Ballenberg & river raftingFor the first part of this tour your will join the people from the tour above and visit the Open-Air Museum Ballenberg. Following the nostalgia the more adventurous among you will then get into a rubber boat in Thun and go down the river Aare all the way back to Berne. The calm, guided boat trip will take approximately 3½ hours. The price of SFr 70.- per person includes all bus transfers, admission to the museum, river-rafting and a lunch-package. Official teams members pay SFr 50.- for the river rafting. |

A bus will take you to Stechelberg in the Bernese Oberland and a cable car up to the altitude of 3000m. Enjoy the beautiful panorama on the top of Schilthorn, which already served as scenery for the James Bond movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". On the way back: Stops in Mürren, Interlaken and possibly Grindelwald.
The price for supporters and members of official teams is SFr 60.- and includes all bus and cable car fares and a lunch-package.
