The Fells in the headlines again

A most eminent family matter took place on Wednesday evening at half past two: the wedding of Tonje (NOR) and Peter (IRL). For him, it was already the 2nd wedding on a student competition, but this time "it is really serious", said proud groom and father- to-be (?) Peter, whose family owns half of Ireland. But it seemingly runs in the family: Peter`s sister, Catherine, is finally hitching up with the honourable judge she`s been dating for years and years. Back to the happy couple. They were joined together in matrimony by Reverend Günti from Austria, best man was Patrick (GER), whereas the bridemaid was Heineken, also from Norway. Alas, the night didn`t end as planned, they were not able to spend their wedding night together in the army camp of Bern. They were disturbed by another woman, who, of course clearly jealous, seperated the two lovebirds by stating that "there would be an important competition tomorrow".

The weather:

The heat`s first victim: Agata, "top-model" of the Polish team, stripped off nearly all her clothes. This caused quite a few problems, especially with numerous males hovering in her shadow. Even AIEC-president Didi admitted: "Well, uhm, she nearly drove me crazy. But I always stayed near in order to prove my resistance. But thank God, the clouds went over the sun again, and so my mind finally could go to more innocent subjects... pff!"

Caprilli-Test eventually introduced in student competition

One Russian girl, Olga, who thought her favourite sport was dressage, found fun in showing off her jumping talents. Not only did she jump the fence of the dressage arena once, but she managed to clear it twice by two feet. We are sorry to admit that our photographer was not on duty at that time...

New shaving solution for men who are supposed to be NO wimps

German chef d`equipe, Schoko, was horrified by the huge hairy fur on German supporter Patrick`s unshaved legs. But instead of plucking one by one, he decided a kind of "instant removal": He simply took out his lighter and succeeded in getting rid of the rainforest on poor Patrick`s limbs. This method amazingly didn`t find a new friend in Patrick because he was seen chasing Schoko around the dressage arena later.

Sports-World

The hardest draw of the dressage: Japan had to ride against Austria and Italy. This combination made the competition thrilling and unfortunately for the Italians, Austria and Japan got through. But both teams managed to score the highest team marks, leaving Germany and Great Britain behind. Still in the competition are Luise (AUT), the German boys Marc and Michel, Sophie from Great Britain, Norwegian double dressage power Tonje and Heineken and Kaja (POL) as well as Joëlle from Luxemburg.

Polish team still in the news:

Except from having nicely shaped female supporters, the Polish team could really convince the judges: With three riders through to Round 2 in dressage, they managed to keep a clear head to their opponents who kept trying to elimintate them by inviting them to bar. But even the "unsinkable" Bartosz showed tiny signs of weakness, when his hand tried to grab his hat for three times before managing to salute. - In other situations, however, he does not have such problems...

Gupi Poland !!!

In the mood again...

On the last Nationscups in Austria, Sweden and Germany, they already looked deep into each other`s eyes. So it was not really a surprise that they fell for each other on Wednesday evening: Clemens (also known as Tom Cruise) from Austria was found very often near pure-Spanish-bred Carolina, so that they are certainly in for the Bagger Cup which is due on Sunday...

And of course Carolina`s team mate Borja tried to finish what he had started already in Leuven (BEL): And his chances with Kate (CAN) have probably risen: Have a look at that look in their faces and wait with us for the result of the Spanish efforts...

But all of them have to watch out for Dutch supporter Fedor, who is desperately keen on this well-known student rider`s trophy....
